The average annual household water and sewerage bill will increase by 1% on 1 April, bringing it to £389. The water regulator Ofwat says as the 1% increase is below the rate of inflation, suppliers are still on track to meet a target of a 5% drop in real-term prices between 2015 and 2020.
UK CPI inflation, the government's preferred measure, has been around zero for most of the past year.
Or am I reading the wrong ONS tables for inflation?Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I DO HATE any organization with the customer in mind with a 'OF' in the title.
Every time they meddle with the 'rules' it costs me more.
What about a rebate on the previous 5 years we all overpaid. The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -
