Transfer phone photos to Hudl 2?

I have an android phone (Sony) and have tried connecting it to a Hudl via a OTG USB adaptor. It won't work. But a standalone digital camera does. Transferring by Bluetooth works, but is slow. Want to view photos on Hudl and maybe upload to google drive (this is mainly for when on a foreign trip in case of theft or loss).
Am I going wrong somewhere?

just let google photos back up camera roll and install google photos on hudl"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

? Thanks. Not too sure what that means. But it gives me the idea to do something similar by "sharing" to Drive on phone. Could then have photos safe and can view on Hudl. Of course this is reliant on an Internet connection.0
