EE Contract

Good evening,
To set the picture...
I'v had a sim-only mobile phone contract for about 2 years and been happy. Recently work has meant that i'm using more Data.
I phoned up EE about 3 weeks ago speculatively to see about getting more data allowance. They tried to sell me some other package that I wasn't really interested in but arranged for a call back the a few days later so I could think about. I specifically checked that no change had been made to my current contract.
Said phone call never came, but it seems that a new contract was set up the day of this none existent phone call (according to EE's online accounts tool)!
I will wait now and see what is debited from my bank account.
Does anyone have experience of how this could pan out?
Thank you

1) Make a formal complaint without delay.
2) After 8 weeks of being ignbored, take it to CISAS.
3) Suddenly EE are interested and conceed everything provided you have a good case.0
