How to get the internet access quickly?

I just rented a new house, and desperately need the internet access at home. As I tried to order a broadband from different companies, but the setup day cannot be within the next two weeks.
Is there a way to get the internet access quickly in the UK? (I am a newcomer)
I cannot stay without the internet access for two weeks. Beside the fact that my broadband contract will be two weeks behind my home contract.

Two weeks is actually very fast-3/4 weeks is quite typical, especially in winter weather when resources are put more into fault finding. All line connections are done by BT Openreach, so trying different providers won't make any difference to the timescale.
The only exception is Virgin Media, which uses it's own cable network, and might offer you a faster connection. However it's not available everywhere
You'll just have to show some patience. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi,
have a word with your new neighbours, they might let you use theirs for a couple of weeks.0
