I've made it home safe and sound! This morning the weather was just unspeakable and the visit to the big yellow shed was awful.

Firstly I had to go through the Clyde Tunnel and I hate tunnels. Before that roadworks on the approach to it meant huge tailbacks.

After the tunnel I missed the left off road for the easy way to the shed and had to go through Braehead. How anyone finds their way around there is a mystery. I had to stop the car and put on the sat nav. Once there the only parking was right at the back of the car park so I dropped my mum at the door and arranged to meet her in the cafe. Luckily she found me OK as I sat next to the top of the stairs and watched the same TV programme loop for one hour. Camelot - I was wearing a bright orange top and am very round and was very fed up!

Even my mum vowed never again!

The drive home wasn't too bad apart from water on the roads, further north the winds and rain weren't as bad as where Camelot is. Still, I took my time and didn't rush. Unpacked the car, filled the bird feeders and poured myself a glass of wine and now watching X Men (no idea why!).

Camelot - where do you get your logs from? I've got sufficient for this year but need to think about next winter. I had a load delivered in the summer but they came up from England

Candygirl - sorry to hear that you're full of cold, it's just miserable! Whisky and lemon is good, doesn't help the cold but makes you not care too much.

Lamewolf - I love the idea of you writing postcards for your doggie friends.

Right - time to think about food to go with the wine!

At last i can relax. Its been a long day. Mom was on form. She hasnt been this healthy for a long time. Her hair and her skin positively shines. I havent heard her cough for a week or two either. Still, cant string a sentence together but i recon she knows whats going on. She spilt her drink down her front and when i changed her she said "thank you". She enjoyed her pineapple. I left a bit for her to have tomorrow.

Men are fed and watered. Laundry finished and packed away in their 'out of town' bags. Sandwiches done, meals cooked for tomorrow night for them.

Earlier hubby passed comment that he thought i'd shrunk so i got him to measure me with Youngests new tape measure... Ive gained half an inch. Another 5 inches and i will be able to reach into the cupboards without having to stand on something.:D

    Sistercas..... Yum!

    Sleep well all.

    Evening everyone

Reading everyday but not managing to post. Feeling very down at the moment, things not going well. Ds2 was refused entry to army to do an apprenticeship due to his diagnosis of Add even though he doesn't take medication for it. This has been his dream for last few years of school. I have tried to big up the alternatives but he is upset but generally keeps his feelings inside and then explodes. Unfortunately dh thinks he needs to work harder at school and has to say his piece which is not always helpful.

Os today very little, told ds2 today and have spent most of day talking things through.

Jackie O - happy birthday, I know you will have had a lovely day.
Mr & Mrs TA - hope all goes well tomorrow.
    Lainey-good luck for tomorrow.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.
  • Hi TT, would it be possible to get your son undiagnosed, I know this was done for a student at the school where I work and for exactly the same reason.

Brilliant idea. My youngest son was undiagnosed from having colour defective vision. Just as well really, who ever heard of a colour blind electrician?

    Topsy many ((((hugs))))
