If it's too much hassle for them to sell it why are you trying to be the sucker? It takes far longer for you to upload all the pictures and set up an advert than it does for them to click and register an account.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Don't get involved. If anything goes wrong it could affect your job. Make up some excuse and refuse. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Totally agree - Dont get involved. Either the son can register or his Dad with ebay but suggest they probably best with something like Autotrader instead. Make up an excuse about your own account if necessary (it's the other half's not mine perhaps?) but do not sell this item not their behalf as you'll be the one copping any flak if the sale goes pear shaped - from them and any buyer so just not worth the grief0

I listed a car for a mate and 3 months down the line they emailed me saying they have left feedback and can i do the same for them.
I think i was lucky and they would have trashed my 100% record for the sake of a few hundred £ car which was not mine and i had no dealings with other than to list it. They visited him and paid him directly.
I wont be doing that again.
Sending money to your sons bank account? Not sure why your taking funds for someone elses property? Listing it is one thing as long as you accept the buyer may leave you negative feedback.
You dont take the payment in any shape or form, unless you want to lose that money.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks everyone for the advise, thought it wasn't worth it. I'll just tell her I can't (stating the reasons you gave me, no need to lie to her)
Will probably end up setting an eBay account up for her)0 -
If you do set up an account for them list the van as a classified ad, £14.99 to list for 28 days and no further selling fees, also no feedback can be left by either party.0

Dont use your computer or internet connection to setup their account either. If they have issues with the account it maybe linked to yours.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
