Ja, I love the British humour! We have it in Germany too- we have our own version of the "Carry On" movies, where the hero for example sees a lady selling fruit and says, " I can't help but notice that the lady on that stall has large breasts, which I can comapre with some of the melons which she is retailing. As such I'd like to express my interest in said fruit whilst also conveying a second meaning: thus I also find her large breasts attractive."
