Assuming you have to pay, with Parcel2go using your weight and dimensions you can return it with DPD or UPS for under £20 assuming it is mainland Spain. I would choose UPS but I am not very confident that you will be able to get insurance cover on a fragile item like this. Check their exclusions carefully and make sure you pack it really well.

I send fragile items regularly to the continent at my own risk. Well packed UPS have turned out to be very reliable (so far!).
  • For my own proposes this thread is concluded, I contacted Amazon.es one last time and quoted them what little guidelines they have and highlighted the following:
    Additional information package shipping
Packaged in a box securely products listed above.
It includes shipping label on the address part of the package, covering any shipping address or bar code above the other sides uncovered.
Uses the address listed above and add the corresponding amount of postage.
(Send the package from the post office or the nearest carrier.)
And the above range of prices from Royal mail Globalexpress £109.68 Globalpriority £83.40 Globalvalue £66.24, they gave me the go ahead to use (Parcelforce Globalpriority £83.40 4 days £100 cover) which they will reimburse me in full, I've wrapping the package as they had done in shrink wrap whether my LG monitor makes it in one piece to Madrid I don't know, but I am glad that it's over with I've done my best to return it if this ends up costing me £460 - £100 cover I'll try and press Amazon for compensation but in the end I'll chalk it up to some bad luck and a lesson well learned.

One thing to note perhaps done in error or correct, I taped my international customer return commercial invoice signed in a clear polythene bag at the front of my package Amazon gave me two of these to print out I haven't a clue as to what the second one is for?

My sincere thanks to all for your time and feedback.

hope you've got this agreed in an email and not just verbally.

It may be that the carrier wants one label attached to the parcel with bar codes and the delivery address. The second one they may take away for their records or would sign to leave with you as a collection receipt.
  • Amazon are pretty good at refunding postage cost.Had a similar problem sending a phone back to amazon germany, cheapest was £65 with dhl and that cost was down to battery returns to germany are only allowed by a specialist courier.

Got my refund within a day after scanning and sending the postal receipt.
