I bought a LG Ultrawide IPS monitor LG-Ultrawide-Monitor from Amazon Spain which is faulty with back-light bleed back to Madrid, 28830 es Amazon.es they have kindly given me half the delivery charge back at €5 for what is a manufacturer fault but I'm partly to blame as I should have never bought an IPS monitor of all things from abroad and I'm going to pay for it to.

I've been comparing rates as best I can but have only highlighted the cheapest not the best in terms of reliability of service or cover:

http://www.royalmail.com/price-finder Globalexpress £109.68 Globalpriority £83.40 Globalvalue £66.24 ouch!

https://www.worldwide-parcelservices.co.uk/Plus a 5% off code given by the website brings the cheapest from WPS EUROPEAN ROAD (INTERLINK EXPRESS) to £27.55

p4d If I order within the next 10 min get 10% off! or just delete cookies/history and order when ready
Cheapest PacketPort at £24 inc Vat and in second Post Office at £33.07 inc vat an improvement on the above quoted £66.24 at royalmail.com/price-finder

Best price ParcelsPlease by Road - Economy at £25.00+ VAT

transglobalexpress Your Quote To Spain (Mainland)... cheapest DPD classic at £16.95+ VAT
Of all of the above options which should I go with?
As you can clearly see I'm very lost any help you can give would be greatly appreciated
My sincere thanks to all for taking the time to read my very long post.

Hight: 51cm Width: 18cm length 90cm Weight 10kg Valve £460 I'm willing to take a gamble on lower value insurance to get the price down a bit, as you can see from the packaging it's less than professionally done job but I hope it's adequate?Monysavingexpert.com Couriers have a list of 'forbidden' items they won't deliver, so your items may be inspected on collection. Because of this, it's sensible to leave the top of your packing box open until it's been inspected.DOA!:wall:
Is this applicable to my package to Spain if so please provide a link.Monysavingexpert.comTo send any items overseas you'll need to fill in a more detailed form for tax purposes. It's fairly straightforward, but if you don't fill it out accurately you risk delaying your package in customs, so be careful.
There is the above to consider as well being a monitor that was only shipped to me in the manufacturers box and some shrink wrap by Amazon I don't know if any of the bellow give a better standard of shipping or non-automated process?ParcelsPlease there is a further class of goods that fall outside the terms and conditions of ParcelsPlease Loss/Damage Cover. These include fragile items which aren’t particularly well-suited to an automated sorting hub. It is not sufficient to put “breakable” or “fragile” labels on the box, the parcels are sorted using an automated process, and machines cannot read these labels.

If the item is faulty, Amazon should be paying for the item return and arranging for the return, not you.
The fact it was bought on Amazon.es doesn't change that or Amazon's responsibility to you.0 -
Is it a purchase from Amazon or a marketplace seller?
If it's Amazon you should be able to return it in the UK..0 -
Direct from Sold by Amazon EU S.A.R.L. of Spain the only option set my reason as defective from the selection box given to me from my orders in control panel was €5 deliver refund towards return postage when I originally paid €12.Additional information package shipping
Packaged in a box securely products listed above.
It includes shipping label on the address part of the package, covering any shipping address or bar code above the other sides uncovered.
Uses the address listed above and add the corresponding amount of postage.
Send the package from the post office or the nearest carrier.
With Google translate
There's no indication of prepaid postage, I've heard that Amazon Spain have a English speaking department given the large number of British expats there it would make sense I will attempt to contact them in this matter.0 -
I bought a fish tank from Amazon.com, I spoke to customer service since it arrived smashed (due to loose item inside the tank)... I got onto online chat, explained and they couldn't replace it since it was last one and refunded me. They told me I could just bin it.
Have you tried talking to them on chat?0 -
The screenshots make your post difficult to understand. I would suggest you concentrate on some text so we can understand and try to help and refrain from the images.
When did you purchase. When did you find the fault?0 -

I've only had the monitor for a week but the fault has been apparent from the first day it was only last Thursday I sent in my return request, I've received a reply from Amazon.es speak in Ingl!s/English option, they said that they are happy to reimburse the full delivery charge on receiving a scanned receipt to their charge-enquirers@Amazon Email address and it's because the shipment is international that they can't provide a prepaid label.
Which solves most of my problem in regards to cost of return postage but not which service/company to take is there one you would recommend?0 -
Who delivered the monitor?0

The package reads UPS standard tracking a very logical choice to use the same company to return it, I'm embarrassed that I didn't think of it myself
Should I go direct UPS website or go with transglobalexpress UPS standard single £33.44 from the above images?
Will register for UPS account and see if their prices are reasonable and report back, my sincere thanks to all for taking time for hand holding through this.0 -
That seems expensive, DHL should be under 25 pounds from 3rd parties.
Note that when sellers are paying return postage, they are only under an obligation to pay for a standard return cost, they are not obliged to pay for any insurance or tracking or anything over and above the basic service so don't be tempted to add on insurance etc.
You won't get as a good a price going direct to the couriers.0 -

I recently had a return for an item and it was something that was a borderline case of me not quite knowing the product and the product not being described too well. At first I put in on "reason for return" that "item was not what I expected", I was then asked to pay for the return on a succeeding page. When I clicked back and changed the reason for "item not as described", the return was free. That was a within UK transaction but consumer rights should be the same within Europe..0
