I have just had solar panels PV installed and want to know how it affects any future switching as a FiT customer with EoN
Any advice for potential pitfalls would be much appreciated:

FIT's are entirely separate from your electricity usage account. If you switch supplyfrom E.on, your FIT's remain. There is no point in switching them anyway, as not all suppliers (the smaller ones) are obliged to process them, and they all pay the same rates anyway (apart from Ecotricity I think).

Good morning Inspectorbucket and welcome to the forum.

As macman has said, the FIT account is separate and has a different account number from the gas and electricity supply number.

You can move the energy accounts to a different supplier etc, with no problems to the FIT account.
