Pizza Hut delivery and the ongoing argument

Hello all, i recently ordered from pizza ht delivery and was really dissapointed. It took over 2 hours for the order to be delivered and when it was the food was cold. I had called after 1.5 hours as the terms and conditions on the website said free if not delivered in 30 min. the manager i spoke to said as they were a franchise they do not follow the same terms but she would refund as a guesture of good will as it had been so long. Anyway come monday mornign the money is taken from my account, but i expected his as i paid prior tot he issues through the web site (wont le tyou pay with cash as i would normally). I called up and asked how lond the refund would take but was told to call customer service. This i did and the operator agreed i was due a refund and advised it would take 8-10 working days. I got an email today saying they had changed their minds and i was not entitled to a refund!
My argument is that if they had told me this when calling he store i would have canceled the order. Now i am stuck paying for a substandard service and more to the point i feel so angry they can just change their minds!
Any thoughts on this people? I have tried contacting them through social media but with no reply......

phone them up a few times, order a few £100 pizza, for random addresses around your area. Obviously for cash on delivery.0

Not a good idea some places now get your address come up as soon as you ring them. I know my local Dominos does and I think if I remember rightly so does the Pizza Hut
OP try contacting their Customer Service team on either Facebook or Twitter I did that a year or so back and they were really helpful.
Did they give you a reason as to why they were back tracking on the refund?First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -

use a phone box, use 141 before the number, use a mobile withholding number.

I apologise i miss the part about social media (my bad)
It's a lot of messing about just to upset a pizza place and possibly annoy the people who live at the random address you get the pizza delivered too
Agree with Claire OP maybe try your bank see if they can assist in anyway?First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -

Firstly, you say you ordered from Pizza Hut, and the T&C on the website said free if not delivered within half an hour.
Nowhere in the Pizza hut Terms and conditions does it say that, and it never has. Ive ordered many times and the estimate given is always roughly an hour.

Who did you actually order from?
Also how much was your food order? Orders over £20 have to be paid for by card, not cash (to avoid johnnytwosteps stupid recommendation)0 -

If the OP is silly enough to quote Indian terms and conditions (assuming as she is on a UK site she is UK based) then thats another matter.0 -
The Scottish version would be 'Aye Right'! It would be far stronger in it's wording actually but MSE Towers seem to be freely handing out PPR's.0
