Morning all, cold and crispy outside

Yesterday was our surprise day out with eldest child and BF

So we got the earliest London train that we could get, no quite realising that there was a match on or the consequences
OH had tried to book seats but couldn't.

The engineering works out of Manchester were ongoing so every train was half an hour late. The first train was rammed full. The 2nd train was re plat formed and rammed full but after being out in the cold for so long I insisted we got on.

So for over 2 hours we sat in the corridor, jammed into a corner, sat on the floor, gloves on, beanie hat on but at least I had my book.

But at least we got there and they met us at Euston with reviving coffee. We then got various tubes south of the river.

And we had a lovely day at Kew Gardens :j

I have no idea how eldest child even realised that it's always been on my most wanted to visit list :)

OH took thousands of pics, we had a lovely walk round with an ad hoc picnic. And we saw 3 of the ring tailed paraqueets

Then on the way back we stopped at South Kensington and went to a French restaurant which was lovely

And then made our way back to Euston and the train home
“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”
