I chucked out those free mcCains roasties which were hideous.....swimming in fat....to fit other stuff in:rotfl:

Oh teah, quite a few of them still too - need to be pierced and left on paper towel to remove some of the fat.

    Morning !!
Nasty shock this morning....had an online gas bill through and its £698.56 in debit. My payments of £175 per month will need to rise to ...£296.19 per month. Anyone got a shed to rent ??

 IIRC our monthly DD combined is now £65 following the recent switch to B Gas. Heating on when required (not wearing extra layers etc to keep warm). It may be worth looking at switching, extra insulation and your use as that is a significant amount to spend each month/year on keeping warm. Are your readings up to date/meters working correctly?

    Good afternoon all.

Been a bit mad here the last 18 hrs - DGD age 6 suddenly decided yesterday teatime, after a very full day of activities and outings with family, that she wanted to stay over at mine. So I was unexpectedly plunged into cooking and entertaining, then this morning (early, way too early) we had to play shop which involved raids on just about all cupboards and drawers and much rearranging of furniture (it ended up as a department store with a food area) then breakfast and packed her bags and out to park including climbing wall and all the usual, then met up with DD and DGS and went to charity shops where kids acquired a pile of toys courtesy of me.

Back home and I have now restored some sense of order (but will probably keep finding things in unusual places for a while) and am recovering with cup of tea.

Will catch up a bit now on here. Hope everyone is having a good day. x

Just back from A - an earlier than normal shop for me as I needed items that tend to go OOS later in the day on busy weekend shopping days. Only to find they had lots of stock and would probably have been fine later in the day:rotfl:. I saw someone, as I was going into the store, leaving with a box of the poor value £2 Coco Pops. As far as I know, I am the only person - apart from I suspect other people on this thread - to end up with the much larger box of Coco Pops for 10% cheaper than T. That's due to people adopting the very expensive method of shopping that the vast majority of people adopt. In fact I'm not even sure there is any "method" to their shops:rotfl: - just seem to be to pick anything they need regardless of price - half of it full price and with expensive brands - together with additional items on r'back that they sometimes may not have intended to buy and end up paying more there too. Or they've gone for the r'back items (such as the 550g Coco Pops) that lose them money/cost too much.

A have now brought the 30 can Pepsis at still rather expensive £7 out to the foyers of two of my stores. Not that they will help at all - the wombles won't buy them and will only start to buy them as soon as M has gone completely absent of any at £5 RTC and the APG then N/A:(. (It may have worked early in the week - I had them in my Ms - I don't know whether they work on APG or not but maybe they would have done. However, now, I don't have any in my stores - they seem to be disappearing - so I suspect the wombles will buy them as soon as they are completely gone from M!:wall: Or so rare that the price collectors have, by then, gone N/A. They either buy too late or too early.:rotfl: I won't have them on wombles today - they'll buy them a week too late again.)

I was going through my receipts earlier, to see which to claim to make up the bill. I know I won't buy often enough to use them within 28 days. Or I made an attempt to make up the bill at any rate - it just told me of how crap the wombles are. 60p:(. 44p:( (and that off a full £80 shop!). £1.20 something. I'd be having to get too many small vouchers. The only ones worthwhile really were those from my own shops. I thought one was about £5 - couldn't remember how much it was. I checked it again: £7.20:eek::rotfl: - I do too well! Such a thing is not possible:). That single voucher could have paid for my shop and left me with money over (or :(having to buy more that I didn't really want in order to make up the bill to at least the voucher amount). I did manage to find a couple of decent ones though - and got the bill: but had to use three vouchers instead of the two that I was aiming for!

Have I brought the thread to a grinding halt?:eek::huh: No posts for fifteen minutes:rotfl:.
  • Rhos, my thoughts are with you, what a dreadful thing to happen especially so close to the wedding. Hope the op was a success.

Helen, hope you can get some help this week and that things work out.

Nerf, well done on the boot! Not been to one for ages (years actually.)

And happy new home to all those who have moved.

    xx
