Morning, haven't been on here since Monday, when I posted about dh step sister, thank you everyone for the thoughts and kindness in words, had one of those weeks which just topped it off Friday. My tax credit gets paid in on Friday, didn't go in because a letter was sent in October and Royal Mail have lost it and it some how turn up back at hmrc 4 months later, so they just stoped my payment, phoned them and they have unsusunded it, because I do still live at same address! But have put me in right poo with money, so know I've got fines for direct debits I can not pay and no money to feed kids! . It can take 2 weeks for it Togo back in.
Why could there not phone me or send me a letter???

I've got a 3.11 apg, going to have to work out something to buy which gives me an apg back...

Hugs and kisses though to everyone who needs them xxxx

Helen....I had to read back to catch your awful news.....so very sad......and what a terrible situation you are in now:eek:.

If your "fines" are fees from the bank for going overdrawn go in and speak to them. If it's the first time it's happened see if you can negotiate to have them written off. Your local manager may have some discretion to do this......depending on the amount. Regardless of this, paying these is not a priority if you are low on food.

I obviously don't know your situation or whether you are in receipt of benefits but if you are, it might be worth going to your local job centre and seeing if you can get an advance of benefits. They will want to know where your money has gone ie so much on gas, electric, food etc but if you can prove that you are struggling you might qualify.

There's also the local authority who may have some funding for hardship payments.
Also Google your nearest food bank.......you should qualify in the circumstances and make sure you tell them you have children so they can give you some extra goodies.

There may also be drop in centres where you might qualify for some welfare assistance.....not a lot but you may qualify for the odd tenner.bgoogle might be your friend

I wish you all the luck in the world and hope we can give you some tips to make your money go further.

Can you print coupons? Or APG's? Any point wombling?

    Morning !!
Nasty shock this morning....had an online gas bill through and its £698.56 in debit. My payments of £175 per month will need to rise to ...£296.19 per month. Anyone got a shed to rent ??

When was the last time you did a comparison?

Prices are lower than they've been for a long time....maybe you need to swap

  • SUNSHINEMUMMY thanks so much for letting me know. Me and DH both tried and couldn't get it to work so I contacted them and got this response which wasn't really any help however I have since tried and confirm it is now working.

    Hi Diane,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

I'm sorry to read that your friends are having problems donating. I can confirm that your fundraising page is currently working correctly and taking donations. Without knowing exactly what’s happening it is difficult for us to diagnose the problem.

The problem your donors are having could be caused by the browser settings on their computers. If they're accessing the site from work, their security settings might be set too high. Lowering the security settings or using a personal computer could solve the problem.

If they continue to have problems please ask them to contact us directly with the following so we can assist them with their donation:

    • steps you took to get to the problem
    • web address of the page you're trying to donate to
    • web browser and version you are using
    • screenshot of error (if possible)

I hope this helps. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

    Regards,

    Lottie
