Good morning all....
not been around much as feeling totally deflated and rather numb at the moment....2016 is clearly not panning out as a vintage year.
I've not read back but hope everyone is enjoying life or at least trying to cope....x
This last week has seen the death of a grandparent and life altering news for our beloved cat.....
Am so sorry you're having such an awful time at the moment. Thinking of you. xSarahdol75 wrote: »Afternoon everyone.

Dropped a printer on my foot last night, think I have broken 2 toes, they are very swollen, and now turning a lovely colour.

I thought you got a 2 year warranty under the sale of goods act. Retailers don't tell you that but it's the law. I've always quoted it & it's worked so far. Good luck.
Sorry if I've mislead anyone!!!! Please accept my apologies. I honestly thought that was the case as it was in the paper a few years ago. I've even got the relevant page still. I had no idea the law had been updated last year so thank you for correcting me. My sil has just popped by by & I've been discussing it with him, he's been a retail manager for 20 yrs approx. He said there's different rules for different things. I'm sure he said it was 6 yrs for white goods but there again I might have been having a senior moment!0 -
Thanks wendy...the info is very helpful and does back up what the vet has said.
Our cat has always been very fit/healthy and active so to be told that she was being graded at 4 possibly 5 in the 6 point scale was a shock.
Our lab Poppy had a heart murmur - progressed to having to give her a daily pill but she kept going happily for 7 years after ♥Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Thank you LS....There have been times over the last few weeks where I really wouldn't have wished our lives on anyone....but at the same time I've genuinely thought...why us?
I know that families go through hard times and life can and is sometimes very challenging....but the why question remains.
We have been very lucky with support and quite honestly I dont think we could have coped without it .....but it will take time.....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Just had lunch with a friend who has returned from 2 weeks cruise - starting in Jamaica , they went to Cuba, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Columbia, Panama Canal etc
Her husband caught Norovirus on board the ship. It seems it was already present & the food was served to you rather than you help yourself. The previous week there were a lot of sufferers.
Anyway he was locked in their cabin & had all his food brought to him. Had a injection & pills.
As Thomsons followed the correct procedure & isolated the infected people they can't complainOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

For sunshinemummy
Was browsing gov uk as I thought it would apply to a couple at work Wife only part time
Marriage Allowance lets you transfer £1,060 of your Personal Allowance to your husband, wife or civil partner.
This reduces their tax by up to £212 in the tax year (6 April to 5 April the next year).
To benefit as a couple, you - as the lower earner - need to have an income of £10,600 or less. You can calculate how much tax you’ll pay as a couple.
May be wrong but worth checking
What if she's a lazy stay at home mum like my wife?:D:D:D:eek:0
