OMG, I loved liberty bodices! We also had frocks. In comparison to other families in the community we were quiet well off, all 5 of us had a new wardrobe in spring and autumn. In Autumn, the girls all received fur capes and fur mufflers (I may have the name wrong but they hung from the neck and you put your hands in them). Whilst mum would give the last lot of clothes to the neighbours, she would never give our capes/mufflers (I think she only wanted her girls wearing them).

I was (and still am) traumatised when mum gave my orange and white summer frock, matching cardi, shoes and bag that I loved to a neighbours girl who was mean to me. :o

I contrast I made my own kids wear clothes out before they were replaced :p

They are muffs.. not mufflers lol.. a muffler is a northern word for scarf (or like a french word for silencer, as in car exhausts!)
We were in a similar situation and my mam used to give my stuff away too, it was very embarrassing at times.

PS I hadn't thought or you as being old enough to wear a liberty bodice!!

I wonder if someone can give me some iPint advice please. I've tried gifting a voucher to someone on another iPhone. The SMS message arrives on the 2nd iPhone. When clicking the link, the page says "Sorry your device is not yet supported by carling iPint 2.0. Available in the APP STORE".

It's an iPhone 5S already running the app.

    Any ideas please?

Whilst I loved the liberty bodice, I hated the muff.

In the south, "muff" has a completely different meaning :eek::eek:

  • I didn't get chocolate eggs from my Parents either.
My Mam used to draw intricate Easter designs on chicken eggs with a crayon, then hard boiled them in cochineal extract.
They were pink except for where the wax crayon was.
I always got 6 in a box, and felt bad cracking the beautifully decorated pink shells to eat them on Easter Sunday.

Excellent result - I am impressed that you found sky chat. I tried from 8.30 Tuesday morning with no joy so it was only after a nagging offensive on sky help on twitter that I got through the next day

Even the basic sky talk package is now £8  - this is fine if you ring mobile numbers or all abroad - I don't do either.

Yes ours is 10 months which is odd so I've got April on the calender to start negotiations again.

I didn t find it Dawn iMessaged me the link she used lol.

I finally found some of the fire & smoke turkey slices in Tesco, hope to get my money back (and more) from TCB & Quidco.
I don't think it has proved very popular, hence my difficulty in finding it, but by the time I did it was reduced to half price. The SA didn't seem to have a clue, so only paid 85p, nice if I get £1.30p back.
It wasn't brilliant according to OH, so wont be buying it again.
