So the petrol stations are open but not the actual stores?

I'm confused! I have to make a second trip. That much is obvious, if I am to spend the coupon. I do *not* have to have the coupon added to my card instead I can just spend it, by 21 February, against a shop costing £1. If I choose to get it added to my card, it then goes to my points on there and I can only spend it in 250 points amounts?

Well where I live that's the case the store shut at 4pm, petrol station open later.

You will have to make a second trip as the stores are shut now to have any points added, you can't just spend the voucher there is no choosing Savvy, you can only spend the points once they are added to your nectar account. And even then as someone else said you have to have at least 500 points on you card as that is the minimum you can redeem worth £2.50 real money.

Savvy, it works on purchases of £10 .....I did this yesterday.
I would google what time your local is open until and pop along. Most people on here have exceeded the 200point average per £10 spend. I'm assuming you need a few X £10 to fill the car up. Just go for it

The two of you are saying two different things. This is my understanding, that you get say a 200 points coupon and can spend that against a £1 shop, with your card being swiped, next time (by 21 February). It is then fully redeemed.

So my original understanding is correct? Ignore the bit about going to CS to get points coupons added to cards! It is a red herring - I am more confused now than before I asked my questions!

Have I explained ok above Savvy, the points coupon has to be added to your card by 21st Feb, you can do that 2 ways either buy something and get your nectar card scanned with coupon or go to CS and they will scan your nectar and coupon and you spend nothing.

What was all that in the T&Cs about handing your Swipe and Win coupon to the cashier with your Nectar card to take off your next bill or depositing it in the SS machine?

If the petrol station is open and I pay at the till (£10), I will get a Swipe and Win coupon - even if I now do that today after the stores themselves are closed. I need to get the points added onto my card later and then it's exactly like any other points.

You were buying petrol then popping straight into the store to CS to have the points added. That is irrelevant now as the stores are closed and as I will be going back to Sains by 21 Feb anyway. Do you have to go back to the same Sains as the one you bought your petrol at?

I don't want Savvy to get more confused not sure if you mean a Sainsbury Local grocery store TM? :o Are these not excluded from the promotion.

And he needs to check that his petrol station is not one on the list that someone kindly posted yesterday.

Yes and can confirm it will work as my last fill up was few minutes after my store had shut. ;)

No idea. :o I have just gone on what others have said. :o I certainly wasn't offered the £5 off my shopping straight away when I got my 1000 points added.

Anyway go and get your petrol before it shuts. :kisses3:
