How exciting! Have a fabulous day, when are you planning to move in. This weekend?
I am still at the flat looking stage and having the odd tantrum as to the thought of getting into so much debt.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Hi all, So after a super exciting weekend, I am back to update!
On Friday, once we had the keys and did a Hindu blessing of the house, I got down on one knee and proposed, so WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!!
I was super nervous, she was so stunned and happy. The look on her face was just amazing
She loves her ring too!!
All the house stuff is going well, Snagging company attended today and advised there are no show-stoppers; just some bits for Redrow to sort. The stairs are going to have a runner, so we had the company out today to measure and finish the quote for that. We’ve chosen new tiles for downstairs as the Karndean ones we chose were out of stock until mid October!
The boiler was showing an error message, so Valiant came out today and it was something simple in install, so now all working a-ok! We’ve been back and forth to the house repeatedly, and its so gorgeous- we absolutely love it!!
First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!7 -
Congratulations 😍😍😍!!! So happy for you both 😀 xMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
