Thanks for the welcome back Busy, MadVix & Chumpy :heartpuls:

The potential redundancy situation for me would be good timing I think as I got this job straight from uni, worked my way up and got comfortable. The thought of proactively leaving for another job is pretty scary, but if I had the redundancy package behind me that would be a fab security blanket.

The travel planning jobs is just an idea at the moment but is something I love doing. I adore travelling and even more so all the researching, coordinating & booking it. I’ve signed up to go to a seminar by one company in September who you work self employed for and I’m on the mailing list for Trailfinders too (in Nottingham so would have to train in daily)- I’ve also started having a look at qualifications for the industry and just trying to find out a bit more. All just thoughts and ideas at the moment but exciting to at least investigate possibilities, even if I end up staying at my current job (which isn’t necessarily bad- I have flexibility of working from home, set my own schedules, get on well with my boss and really enjoy my subject area)!

I have also booked a trip away for me. I am going solo to Thailand- going to Koh Samui for a few days and then onto another island for a yoga retreat with the people that run my studio. The retreat itself isn’t cheap but I’ve shopped around on flights, ferries to the islands and hotels to get good deals and went through Quidco for cashback :D

I’ve never travelled on my own so a little nervous but I have been to Thailand before and am pretty confident with navigating my way around! :D

Welcome back KK, have missed your posts.

Sorry to hear there's a threat of redundancy but your back up plan sounds great. Fingers crossed all goes to plan for you.

Also your retreat sounds amazing! Have you room for an extra!?!

Lol, not sure there will be any room in my luggage given the way I pack :D

It’s been a busy week at work this week but I’m pleased I managed to pack my own breakfasts and lunches, plus we got a free burger chips and ice cream one day at work from the company which whilst not very nutritious was certainly tasty!

I’ve restarted doing YouGov surveys and prolific surveys after a few months off and received a Pinecone survey which has credited and been overpaid already yay!

We are planning to buy a fab/heater all in one dyson product using our work vouchers this week to help with the heat and help when working from home in the winter. We ve been saving the work vouchers so are treating ourselves to the fan after debating it for the past year or so!

Trying to be a bit more regular with the posting.

Today started with a yoga class for us both and then stopped at gfs parents shop to help out for a bit. In return gf was given some curry and I have a potato curry for tea. We popped into tesco for a very small shop and have then been home and doing some housework and relaxing a little.

I started back up with Prolific in the week and today the surveys credited so I’ve withdrawn the £5.14 immediately and sent it to the mortgage
Making it a nice £8.14 overpaid so far this month and I’ve just completed another 45p survey.

Fitness training plan is going well but I have left the gym session for today as my backs a little achey so thought it best to rest in prep for the week ahead.

Managed to get some skyvip free cinema tickets for next week- hoping gf doesn’t find the film too scary. Luckily we can get free parking and take our own snacks so a free night out yay!!

    Evening mfwers!
Payday has been, so we have promptly overpaid £242.45 from our salaries, and stashed the kitten savings of £40 away in the savings pot.

We have also managed a £20 overpayment from selling some craft table stands on fb marketplace and overpaid an eBay sale of £14.72....so it’s all adding up slowly but surely.

Work has been hectic so far this week- although I’ve managed to get to yoga every day so far this week so I’m feeling all stretched out!

I do really enjoy the yoga classes and make the most out of my unlimited membership- ended up with 5 classes this week so I feel a bit sore in places but pretty happy. I find it really helps me to shake off any work blues/frustrations and gives me a spring in my step.

I’ve been focusing on a training plan so got myself to the gym yesterday and did two strength training workouts in one go. My hamstrings are very tight today and reminding me I’m not a young thing anymore :D

Managed to reach payout on Shoppix this morning so have requested a £5 withdrawal to send to the mortgage.

I’m getting dead nervous about Saturday as I signed up to that charity sky dive!!!! Absolutely scared but I’ve managed to find raise over £500 which is fantastic for the local hospice so that’s pushing me to go through with the jump.

I’ve been thinking about my yoga trip in October- I’m in need of a few vest tops for working out in so I’ve been keeping an eye on eBay and picked up two tops so far for under £10 for both (incl postage!). Going to purchase a mini Thai phrasebook too and found instead of £12 I can get it for under £4 delivered also through eBay so going to get that ordered today!

I still have loads of sun cream (reef and wildlife safe) from our Oz trip last year, (checked the expiry date from opening on the back and they have 24 months yay!) as well as lots of holiday clothes, mosquito repellant and travel bottles for toiletries so I’m not going to need too much bits and bobs- hopefully just a few pairs of lightweight shorts for yoga and I should be set!

Just snuggled down with Hugo on the sofa at the moment- he’s been such a tinker and brought an alive mouse in last night (4am!) which has got behind the kickboard in the kitchen....humane mouse traps have been bought and put down to try and get the mouse out to safety! :O

That's a great amount to raise, i bet you'll feel amazing when you're actually doing it.

Am slightly jealous of your yoga retreat, it sounds brilliant!
