The cold has taken hold, bah!
I'm away with Work tonight, I couldn't bring myself to have room service at £24 plus tray charge so took a walk to Nando's and got a nice dinner instead
Went to the hotel gym and managed 43 minutes on the treadmill and bike but really struggling with the cold so decided to be good and head to my room.
I have a long day of meetings again tomorrow, can't wait to finish at 4 and then drive home
45p overpayment yesterday as a tilly tidy but otherwise not much to report.
Right, off to set my alarm and get some sleep, hoping it will make me a little chirpier tomorrow!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
Sat at breakfast (table for one) and updating my accounts app. Tv licence DD has deducted this morning so I've OP'd the change of 63p.
Cold has really taken hold so I've taken my (£1 sainsburys own brand) cold/fly remedy to try and be normal!
Breakfasts included in the hotel but trying not to just eat the (scrummy looking) pastries- instead I've had melon, some Greek yogurt with a granola sprinkle and coco pops. Not nutritionally great but I think the better options
Yesterday was a pretty active day- 15 of steps- but today is just at an office which has barriers to keep people out and people don't recommend going out at lunchtime () and then a 3 or 4 hour drive home. Will have to make myself go walk to the canteen regularly to try to be a bit active today.
One good thing is that I've put on some older suit trousers and a nice top- they are both pretty baggy on me (I think almost too baggy) so the weight loss/fitness plan is starting to show moreyay!!
Can't wait to get home to my lovely home, gf & kitties tonight. There's something to be said for Home comforts when you don't feel 100% isn't there!
Right time to check out the hotel and start the day....swimming suit and second gym kit unworn still - they just came for an outing ha ha :rotfl:First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Hope you make it home in good time KK - like you say, there's nothing like the comfort of home when you're feeling rough. Hope the tablets helped you get through the day!
You're much more disciplined than I would be re breakfast, especially if I was feeling under the weather!
Hope you're feeling better soon xMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Made it home and was greeted with a little bunch of roses, some shortbread, sweeties and angel delight in the fridge by the gf :heartpuls
Cold is still here but on its way out thankfully! Had a productive day off today- man came for a quote for all our blinds and we have gone for this one (much cheaper than the first quote), sorted wallpaper for the feature wall in the front room & organised a man who'll do it for us, went to yoga & the gym, helped a friend by giving him a lift to a charity run, had another friend pop over for a bit (he bought cake with him- he can come anytime ;P ) then we went grocery shopping and for a nice hour long walk round a local nature reserve. A pretty productive days holiday
£3 cleared from Pinecone so have swiftly OP'd it alongside a 75p tilly tidy. I had a few prolific surveys clear so am up to the dizzy heights of £3 :rotfl:
Tried a lean in 15 recipe tonight- lamb tikka flatbread with a salad, it was delicious and better than a takeout but at £8 for the lamb leg steaks isn't a weekly meal for us unfortunately, but it would be a good replacement for a craving for Turkish takeaway!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Long busy weekend this weekend- went on the train to meet a friend in London, so lots of eating out, starting with breakfast at Daisy Greens and then lots of coffees, cocktails and munchies with a friend. Lovely but tiring old day.
Yesterday however I was suffering, severe acid reflux constantly (thought I was going to vomit the entire day) and my whole body was painful to move or lie in any way. Took painkillers, rennies and then slept an awful lot. Feeling a bit better today but body is still really aching but the reflux has reduced somewhat.
Not sure whether it's all the rich food on Saturday or maybe alcohol. I had four amarettos drinks (single) throughout the day, but I don't drink much anymore...
I've cancelled my dental appt today and have let my brother know I won't be over as poorly pie.
Just going to update the accounts app after the London spends- think we spent £100 all in which is below the budget we set of £150 which is greatFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

That SOA is so useful! Was just browsing the thread as I’m a first time, solo, buyer and I haven’t done a SOA yet.... I will tonight now so thanks again, should help me with the budgeting0

Aprest- glad you've found it helpful. The SOA maker tool is fab and great to revisit periodically as it's amazing how things can change in6 months.
I've been online price comparing for our wallpaper- cheapest I can find is £11.99 a roll instead of £15 at our local diy store. Going to order today using Debenhams vouchers from work
Did travel insurance and our house insurance yesterday- compared both and went through Quidco so £40 tracked which is great
Booked some of our internal flights for Australia and also our Sail boat tour for the Whitsundays yesterday on my day off too so a very spending day but lm happy it's all coming together and I've been searching around lots to find the best Value for money.
Feeling much better today and back in work- time to get ready and pack lunches/coffees etc. Aiming for a no spend day today!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Glad you're feeling better
I find it can get overwhelming trying to find the best value sometimes - especially when you can factor in changing dates for travel too... Well done for getting it all sortedNot long now!
