Asda

I suppose Asda were within their rights legally, but they were morally wrong in making the further bank deduction.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”
― Groucho Marx0 -
Both ASDA and Tesco do this and they make it clear on their checkout that the price billed will be the price the product is available for on the day of delivery.
You will notice on your actual receipt that the price is clearly listed and you have the option to reject the products at the point of delivery. The online and email is just a confirmation of what you have ordered and not a receipt as such.0 -
Did you miss the part where the OP ordered online for purchase/ delivery at a later date?
This heartless response to a person who has had to suffer the trauma of some stale hot cross buns is symptomatic of why this country is going to the dogs. When you are in that sort of condition you can't worry yourself about things like facts, or relevance to the issue; all that matters is your general sense of disgruntlement.0 -
Does it work the other way round? So if something comes on offer after ordering and the OP gets it cheaper they'd insist on Asda sticking to the original more expensive price? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
The price increase was not shown on the receipt I received.
The price on my receipt was £81.50 clearly showing the £4 mulitbuy discount.
Therefore if this is the price on the receipt then this is the price of the goods when they were picked.
If the offer finished after that why did I have to pay the difference?
If this is the case then it makes a mockery of buying things on offer.0 -

I guess I have a bit of an issue with Asda for a number of incidents that have occurred in the recent past. My main beef, and one I did not mention, was the Gammon steak I purchased about a month ago (3 packs for £10). They looked lovely and succulent in their packaging but when unfrozen and cooked I discovered that they were full of water and tasted horrible. So there was ten quid down the drain. Then there was the over-charge on the sausages and latterly the stale hot cross buns. It all adds up.0 -

Yet you still keep shopping there?0 -

I'm not surprised you didn't mention that; there's only so much of this sort of horror people can take.0
