Checked the bank before going to bed and OH been paid already, its definitely gonna be another rubbish month. We will have to use the overdraft still towards the end but will try my best to keep this to right at the very end and not too much. But after this month our council tax should go down to the normal amount, then there are only 3-4 more months to pay off the car and we will definitely be out the overdraft then.
I have applied to do a bank account switch to HSBC as well so hopefully we get the £120 switching bonus at some point, once that's all set up, just waiting for the paperwork.0 -
Car passed its MOT, phew. Advisory on brake pads so will have to make sure we get those done but we don't have to do it this month.
Checked our oil tank as well and there is plenty so no need to top this up yet, might get away with waiting till end apr pay day.
Trying to decide if I carry on with my crafting or not, insurance is due May so I would have to save most my sales money to cover it. Not sure if I should just sell off all my stock and be done with it, I don't want to book fairs incase I get a job and fairs were where I made most sales.0 -
Tax credit award notice came so gonna get the watersure application sent asap. Trying to make sense of the tax credits basically we received everything we should have for the year in the first 6 months and that is why they are so low now. So I am hoping they will go up in april to the normal amount. It would make a huge difference.0

So we paid £20 overdraft fees last month, this months charge is £11. I hoping to get it down to £6 for this month then nothing the month after. It'll be tight but depends on Easter holidays and what we do with the kids.
Not a nsd today as I had another sale on etsy yay so had to post them and don't get the money till 7th March. Since I was in town posting I topped up the fruit bowl and got some hot chocolate for a treat but I didn't go ott and still on budget for the groceries.0 -
Tesco in my town are looking for people on the checkouts for mon and Tuesdays, hours I can do. I've applied. Fingers crossed. They are ideal dates as hubby doesn't sleep on Mondays so we would only need childcare in school holidays on a Tuesday.0

Fingers crossed! XLoan 1 £5200/£8000
Loan 2 £300/£5800
Total £5500/£138000 -
Fingers crossed, that sounds ideal!0

Still waiting to hear from Tesco, so keep those fingers crossed a little bit longer x
2 sales on etsy last night so think I will carry on with it, since January the sales have really picked up and become more regular on there.
Grocery Challenge is really helping especially meal planning. Boilers playing up though and its a Stanley stove so does the heating hot water and I use it to cooks it may throw a spanner in my meal plans. We phoned up about it yesterday and just called again, waiting for the letting agents to call back.0 -
Boiler mans been and we need a new fuel pump, nothing we've done just wear and tear. He is going to check if he has the part at home, or he may have to order it, goodness knows how long that may take. It would have to be super cold right now. Well I can manage a spag bol and casserole in slow cooker for the next 2 days but then I am stuck as I bought bread mixes for me to make bread rolls to go with soups. Can still do the soups in slow cooker so I'll just have to pop out to get fresh rolls. Then I am stuck as I was going to do oven things. Will see what he says about how long its going to take and make a plan. Havent even started worrying about the hot water yet, will worry about that next. And the heating. We might just have to go to the pub to warm up.0

I had lots of sales over the weekend so paid an extra £50 off the Barclaycard. Just 3 more car payments then that can go towards the Barclaycard too and it'll be gone before the end of summer.
Still waiting to hear from Tesco, logged on to try to check application and it just says processing the right to work details. My passports out of date so had to send birth certificate, marriage certificate and NI proof. They definitely don't make it easy to get a job.0
