For the v19 I only see the TCR rates on the E.ON site. Are the detailed rates only visible after you switch onto the v19 tariff?

    Hiya again ToTo Man,

The details rates are there when you do the best deal for you quote, if you log in to your online account as normal, then click 'find our best deal for you' on the left hand side.

Then go through the quote details, you'll be able to see all of the specifics before agreeing to change.

    Hope that helps a little.

Are we now entering an era where serial switchers are going to have to switch weekly instead of annually?
Admittedly, with E.on it's a very easy process.

    Morning macman,

Malc, Amy and I have mentioned and fed back about having tariff's so close together and it has caused a bit of confusion for some people.

Although, I do agree and you can change your tariff with us easily, so this helps.

    Thank you :D

Does changing tariffs between now and the time MSE get confirmation of my switch to their collective tariff change anything? Basically, if I switch manually on Tuesday, will that prevent the "confirmation" of my earlier-this-week switch to the collective tariff and thus £15 cash back?

    Morning razord,

As this is a tariff change, this should be a bit quicker.

So if you changed on to a tariff via a collective this week with cash back, you'll go on to that tariff in about 3 working days. The cash back however, isn't paid by us, this comes from site or club you used to switch with. It'll say how long it takes to be paid the cash back on the site.

You'll be able to change on the Version 20 next week, if this is better for you and it won't stop the confirmation of the earlier switch or cash back, you'll just change on to the V20. So you may be on the collective for 1 or 2 days.

    Hope that makes sense:o

Wouldn't have anything to do with the oil price suddenly going up would it?

So the V20 that would have come out today was too cheap, and everybody was going to jump on, including me. So E.On is waiting to see if yesterday was a blip. If oil price stays high, V20 will be adjusted higher.

If I was nervous, I would switch to the Scottish Power Beat Cancer January 2018 two year fix just in case.

    Hiya Pincher,

The new Version 20 tariff has been moved to Tuesday because of the Age UK story also coming out yesterday. It made everywhere super busy and I think some customers that wanted to call had difficulties, so we decided to extend the tariff's that we already had out and version 20 will start next week now.

    Hope that helps to explain.

you would have thought that the v17 v18 v19 and now the latest v20 all released within a short period would ALL be cheaper than the previous due to the wholesale costs being low

sadly that's not the case on most of them (at least for me) I guess they like to still hike prices however small they maybe even when theres no reason for it

I understand that this v19 offer has been extended until midnight tomorrow.

I'm currently on the standard package and receive paper bills which I pay on receipt. I've realised that I could save as much as £500 on both my electric and gas if I switch to v19 but unfortunately I had a great deal of difficulty achieving this today.

First of all, I tried to call eon but was on hold for about 15 mins and was then cut off. I tried several times and had the same result.

I then registered my account with eon online but was told I need to pay my current bills before I can set up Direct Debit (which I believe is a mandatory requirement of v19). I only received my latest electric bill in the post this afternoon and I haven't yet received my gas bill.

Am I right in thinking I can pay both bills by debit or credit card over the phone? Clearly, I need to settle these bills before I can set up a direct debit.

My problem is it seems impossible to contact eon by phone.

Also, in the initial stages of trying to change to v19 online I was able to select this option for my electric but not for the gas. When I tried to change to v19 for gas this option was not found.

Finally, is it possible to change to v19 online for both electric and gas or does each have to be added individually. I see there is a £20 discount for changing both electric and gas to v19. I have 2 different account numbers for my electric and gas but when I registered with Eon online today I added my gas account to my electric account. I see there is also an option to merge the bill which I haven't yet carried out.

All I wish to do is to change my existing account for electric and gas to v19 before midnight tomorrow but I was unable to carry this out today - I'd greatly appreciate any help.

    Kind regards,
