    Far too early to say!

Definite affection for whichever years I got to Turkey, Germany & Russia - splendid times & I was either in Uni or school.
First year I owned a house (& mortgage!) - remarkable fun.
First year I got married, & pregnant (in that order) - going from one to two to two-&-an-opinionated-bit was most interesting.

However, the year in which we have no children in the house?
The year in which a son (or two or all three) gets married?
The year in which we become grandparents?
The year in which my sisters & I start treating each other like adults?

Well, some of them may happen. I look forward to finding out!

    The first half of 2006.

I was 19, had finally moved into town with good transport links, night life accessible, coming to the end of 3 long years of college, then got the grades I wanted, looking for work to earn my way out of a low income life, things were good and future bright.

Little did I know in the second half it would all come crashing down and remain there to this day...

I miss that future is bright, optimistic KxMx ;)

The best year of my life? So many could be that - and who knows what is to come? I'm nearly 73, and so many wonderful memories of different wonderful years. But I can tell you which was the worst year of my life - it was 1981. It started at the end of January when my dear FiL was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer and died within five weeks, then two weeks after his death my lovely mum was diagnosed with oesophagal cancer and died in the November. In May, my 38 year old brother in law died of MS, leaving my sister with three little girls - the youngest 3 years old. In August my MiL had her first heart attack, in September my wonderful OH had a life-changing accident.

    No - don't think I'd like to repeat 1981.
  • I can think if 3 great years in my nearly 27 yrs, however 2 of them are tinged with sadness too but here goes.

200 - left high school, had my first experience of puppy love, had a brilliant summer with my friends and first tried alcohol ha. Life was worry free with no bill's no job etc. However just a week after my GCSEs my mum rang and told me she had cancer, I remember exactly where I was at that phone call. She had known for weeks but didn't want to effect my results (rubbish anyway :()
2013 - The year my first son was born we had moved into our first house 6 months before and it felt like life was just beginning.
2015 - Found out we were pregnant again in March, got Married in June and my second son was born in November. However my granddad who I loved dearly died in April, I went to my 12 week scan on the same day we had his funeral.

I agree with other posters though, I hope I still have the best to come.
Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!

2003. I was a year out of the hell that was my first marriage; my Decree Absolute came through, and I married the lovely man who is now Mr LW.
Also I was at that time not ill enough to need to use a wheelchair, I could still manage with just my sticks.:o

I can't say that I've ever had a really bad year.

An idyllic childhood, Dad was a civil engineer and we lived in Venice for 3 years. Then spent some years moving about various countries, some of them living on a boat in the Med wherever he was working.

    Uni was fantastic.

Got a great job that I would have done as a hobby for nothing and spent my whole working life getting well paid for it.

My worst two years were looking after Mum after she was diagnosed with Dementia. Dad had also had dementia and died in 2012. I moved in with mum and looked after her as long as I could before she had to go into a home.

I now have my life back and Mum is well cared for and happy.

I took early retirement just over two years ago at 55 and am loving life. I still have a boat that I can live on in the summer, sailing gets in the blood, and life is great.
One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.

I wanted to post something that is little trip down memory lane and light hearted. I would say 1995 was mine as I was 17 that year and that summer was a good one plus I was leaving school (after 6th form) too. If only time travel was real.

Crikey, I thought you were at least 15 years older than that!

1977 - I got married, had my daughter, completed a secretarial course at college, the heatwave started on my wedding way and lasted for weeks - and The Stranglers were No1 with 'Peaches'! Life was good!
