Hi again, I forgot to say that I decided in the early hours that I was sick and tired of being scared to go out. So today I am going to see some of my friends from church and spend the afternoon with them. Sunday I will be going back to church, I think I have found a way to manage my anxiety better and that is to use a trusted taxi firm to take me door to door. Of course my great plan has been scuppered already as the taxi can only take me one way as it has school run commitments when I need to come home. After a little panic I am going anyway and will worry later about how I can get home. I hope one of the ladies will be able to give me a lift maybe. Hey, it's not raining anyway :D.

Oh Dumpling, am so chuffed to read that, good for you m'dear, sending hugs for your courage in facing your fears xx
  • Hello all,

So many people not sleeping at the moment. Himself is still not sleeping and seems to spend most of the night downstairs, evidently he can sleep in his chair.

Dumpling you know you can do it. It is good that you have decided not to be scared about going out, and I am sure someone will give you a lift home. Be brave lovely lady and enjoy every moment.

Csarina, I would find it a great comfort to have those signs. I know we all believe in different things, but I truly believe things happen that no one would be able to explain, and if it is a comfort so be it. I know many of us have felt our pets visited us after they had passed, so why on earth wouldn't our loved ones.

We visited the Hospice shop this morning with a few things to donate, then on to the pharmacy to pick up our prescriptions and finally to SM for a few things. Just having a bit of lunch and then a rest this afternoon. Himself will have his siesta, as will the cat.

    Take care all

    Afternoon everyone

Csarina - I would take great comfort from those signs x

I know that loads of people have different views on this topic. I definitely believe there's something - I followed my grandad down the High Street in our local town 3 months after we'd buried him - he was literally right in front of me, I could have touched him, I was just going to say to him what was he doing out on his own (he suffered from dementia) and I turned to speak to him and when I turned round he'd vanished, there was nowhere for him to have darted into etc. All my family don't believe in it and think I'm bonkers - I know what I saw.

    Keep safe and well x

I hate nightmares, but I don't mind visitors from the other side, they mean no harm I'm sure.
I finished work went and bought hubby a new flask and treated myself to a new saucepan.
I'm putting my feet up until it's time to collect hubby.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • NMLC I certainly don't think you are bonkers. I've never seen anyone myself but too many people have for it to be doubted. Here's a strange story from quite a few years ago. We stayed in a guest house in a fishing village in Cornwall (Mr TA and I, the two kids and our dog) in a big family room looking out over the harbour. We loved that place and mentioned it to a friend who was tempted to book it too. They were allocated the very same room as us. Every morning when they got up the curtains were parted in the middle. Every night she shut them together tightly. She woke early one morning to see "someone" peeping out through the curtains. She was terrified, shut her eyes tightly and looked again. The lady was still there! She woke up her husband and then the young lady disappeared. He accused her of dreaming but she knew she wasn't. At breakfast she mentioned it to the owner who knew exactly who she had seen! A young woman whose husband had gone missing at sea in his fishing boat and every night she watched out for his return!

Spooky eh?! I felt quite cheated that we hadn't seen the young lady but we had our dog with us and, apparently, they frighten the spirits away. Call me bonkers too but she knew what she had seen and I believed her! xx

Csarina i would have taken great comfort in those signs too.

My Dad visited me twice after he died. Once before his funeral and once after. I believe that he 'came back' for his own piece of mind. Both times to check that my Mom was ok.

Apart from in a weird dream i had, he never came back.

Dumpling let us know how you get on when you come back. I'm so pleased for you.

Had a bit of bad news this afternoon from my eldest sons Mother. She has gone back to work and he's skipping school. She recons she gets him up before she goes to work and he goes back to sleep. Ive told her to take his xbox off him for every day he doesnt go to school. Shame really, i cant see her staying in work though its the happiest she's been for a long time.

Much sympathy for those not getting decent sleep. I've forgotten what a decent night's sleep is; between being kept awake due to pain, Mr LW snoring, and then when I do finally drop off I get horrendous nightmares, I give up!

Quite often when I'm at the pc desk in the lounge, I feel a little dog push past my legs to sit under the desk. This happens when we don't have canine guests, and also when the ones we have are known to be elsewhere. In fact it happened yesterday evening, and at the time, Pandora was on the sofa and Patsy was on the green chair, so there's no way it was either of them.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Yay, I made it out and had a lovely time. My pastor gave me a lift back and it all worked out brilliantly. I have a lot more faith in my own abilities now, thank you for your support too xx
