Wed 3rd Feb - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:

Morning all,
I fell asleep on the sofa this evening so now I'm wide awake.
Later we are going to get the ferry over to the Isle of Arran to a spa hotel for two nights. This was actually cheaper than getting a Travelodge-type-thing as it's out of season and I did a bit of haggling.
This is a bit of carefully budgeted for wish fulfilment. I lived within walking distance of the ferry to Arran for years and often went across but I've never spent a night on the island.
* Not taking car on ferry, thereby saving £25. The hotel are going to send a free minibus for us to transport us port-to-hotel.
* Have a hefty breakfast before leaving.
* Make use of inclusive access to two pools, sauna, steam room and solarium. Will not buy any spa treatments....as OH is a therapist. :rotfl:
* Take a packed lunch.
* Take running gear.
* Will improvise evening meals as this accommodation has no kitchen.
* Take own alcohol with us.
* Make use of free toilettries supplied.
What have you folks got lined up for today?

Morning all
- thanks for the start Ally. Enjoy your couple of days away, you deserve a break (even if I am very jealous). My day is somewhat less interesting with a full day of teaching and meetings after work
Here's my little list for today:
check banking and PAD
read Martin's email
do a load of washing
make time to relax somehow
Aim for nsd
all meals from stores
do not stress at work
mark a set of books or tests
full day of teaching
meeting after work
minimise use of heating
Nothing else to report. I'm afraid my brain is a bit fuddled at the moment with my chronic stress...:(Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Sadly not. When we headed North to the cabin earlier we took a few bags so that we could do your own roast and be really comfy in a stark environment.
This spa is a bit 'plush' (they provide bed-linen and the bathroom is heated!?!) so we're travelling light. :rotfl:

Morning all.
Having that lovely 2nd cup of tea before leaving for work.
Have just relistened to the audio of zig ziglar again. Forgot how much I loved him. Such a shame he is dead.
Struggling to stick to meal plan. Am determined .
Need to swim more. Have breathing issues following demylination of spine and I need to keep lungs moving.
Have a good day everyone. I am off to review business goals.

Morning everyone
Ally thank you for getting us started and have a lovely break.
My fatigue seems to have reared it's ugly head. On Monday afternoon when I tried to read the thread I was unable to concentrate enough, by the time I went to bed on Tuesday I'd finished Monday's thread. I have yet to look at Tuesday's, think I will start now. I am keeping to DFW ways, just no energy to read or post.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
