I was the same as above, the threat of taking anything that did not belong to them would see their goods sold or their bank account emptied to at least double the value and then birthdays and xmas would ne cancelled that year and they would be made to work for that person for free...
To me once money had been spent its gone, so a £400 laptop is worthless to me once its been bought and used. I would have no issues about smashing it up and putting it in the bin.
Shame my sister didnt do the same..Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

OP got mobile phones from a grocer, where they could provide a cap on usage during the contract. These were for the offspring of the OP, and, worked well, until on of the offspring, decided to ask for the cap to be lifted. The cap duly was lifted by OP. Unfortunately all is not well. A massive bill has appeared. OP is on here to warn us all! All please heed the warning, CHILDREN ARE INVOLVED
BoP offers a resolution. Take the trinket off the child, and some other items. put them on ebay, and recover your loss.
Shame, your post are usually on the money, but this time you've missed the mark.
As stated earlier in the thread IT WASN'T THE CAP THAT WAS LIFTED. :wall:
The cap is and has always been in place.
The only thing that changed was that a safety buffer, to allow a certain spend over the cap was set to £0, which due to some strange, perverse logic of Tesco mobile, meant that the buffer then reverted to £100.
No need to put anything on eBay to recover losses, Tesco mobile are going to reimburse the excess usage charges fully.0
