Cancelled Vodafone contract - disaster

Can anyone please help with this. I had a mobile contract with Vodafone, last July, Vodafone increased my monthly payment and as advised by Martin Lewis, seen in newsletter I think, this was against their terms and conditions, and I could cancel my contract. I did this and got a letter back from Vodafone stating I was eligible to cancel early with no penalty, and the letter stated 'that's it, you don't have to do anything'.
I phoned Vodafone in August, asking when the line would end and asked about payment, and was told the contract has ended, I paid one more payment, then cancelled DD as advised.
Since then I was billed 3 more months, each month I phoned and had online chats, I printed all copies, and kept times and names. I must have spent 30 hours trying to sort this, passed from person and department, each saying it was sorted and cancelled.
Then the debt agency letters arrived, and I tried again. I have copies of the advisors promising me it was sorted out and I would not have any problem with bad credit.
I went onto Twitter Vodafone account and said I wanted to make a formal complaint, only then was I given an email address of customer advisor, and it was sorted immediately, the balance was put to zero and I heard no more.
This was in December.
I tried to get a new mobile contract with 02 this week, and was declined. I have checked my credit file and the 3 missed payments are the only fault.
As there never were any missed payments, only a mess up by Vodafone, what can I do?
I am 25, with perfect credit history, I am in construction and want to borrow to buy an old pub to convert in the next year, this will totally mess that plan up, an I am furious.
Tried contacting Vodafone, but they haven't answered email yet, chat are rubbish, they just transfer departments and make empty promises.
Sorry for long post

You can complain to Vodafail again, then, after 8 weeks, to the ombudsman.
Also, with sufficient proofs you can try contacting the CRA(s) directly, e.g. http://www.experian.com/disputes/how-to-dispute.html0 -
sorry for bumping this up, but I have emailed Vodafone customer support who sent me the standard response of will get back to you within 48 hours, but its now been more than that and I have heard nothing.
I notice there is a sticky Vodafone thread, could someone move me to that or should I just start again in there? new to this, sorry0 -
Stop believing in anything Vodafail tell you.
You can repost in the sticky, but I don't think this can help unless you follow the advice and try contacting their web reps that seem to have given up and abandoned MSE. This sticky looks more like 'vent and rant thread' to me.0 -
I've contacted web reps, email address was given to me on Twitter last November, I sent emails on Monday and Tuesday, just got the standard reply stating, thanks for email, we will respond within 48 hours emails. I've tweeted Vodaphone help UK twice today, they are ignoring me but responding to others.
I am polite, so no idea why this is. I just need my credit file sorting. I will complain to Ombudsman but know this will take a while.0 -
