DWP Complaints

Hi. I suffer from mental illness etc and their are fully aware of it. I recently made a complaint over the phone, over the last few weeks ive had nothing but poor services. I've had advisors promising call backs what never happed. Ive been lied too and mis informend on several occasions. All their faults over the last few weeks has had massive impact on me finicially eg my telehone costs,(pay and go) and mentally draining etc.

Has anybody had a DWP complaint experience and how it it worked for you?

I ask because I even mis informend about the timescale of a response 2 advisors saying different things

Thanks (im new here) be nice dont put head down toilet..

Well I've had problems with DWP,

You're first approach would be JCP manager, If they don't resolve you're complaint you can email JCP and you will be made an appointment with a regional manager.

    correspondence@dwp.gsi.gov.uk

    contact-us@jobcentreplus.gsi.gov.uk

But JCP cannot help with issues relating to ESA or PIP claims being rejected, They also will not help you with work program issues like stopping you're referral.

The most important issue to start with is sorting out the benefit you are trying to claim for, the complaint can be dealt with after... What benefits are you having trouble with?

    :D Hello and welcome

I can't give you any information about making a complaint but I'm sure that someone will be along shortly that certainly will point you in the right direction.
    * and they have !

Maybe in future, you should consider writing instead of phoning and ask them to reply by post too.

I complained and received compensation and an apology for the nasty and vindictive way I was treated by the DWP.

However, I did it in writing by recorded delivery, keeping a copy of course. That way the complaint cannot be ignored as it has been in your case. I didn't want to waste what little money I had on fruitless phone calls. Phoning is never useful for anything but the very easiest of tasks for the DWP.

it can be paid fortnightly, but rarely.
the claimant would have to prove that they would be in hardship by having it paid monthly
  • Under soecial rules if you can prove your in hardship being 4weeks. I can and waiting for a decision. You can also have your rent direct to landlord

Its called an alternative pay arrangment.. they keep it quiet
