If the firm is no longer trading, then their individual customer records may well just have been destroyed. You can, of course, approach the parent company and pay them £10 for a Subject Access Request. The finance was only paid off in 2013, surely records from only 3 years ago don't just get shredded?
If your finance was still being paid only three years ago, why don't you know if you had PPI?0 -

Because the contract was signed back in 2008, and it was just a direct debit that left my account every month then eventually didn't. Followed by a junk load of phone calls trying to get me to finance another car threw them.
Oh, and i used to get a statement once a year. But i don't recall it saying anything about PPI0
