I work from home and have now had a week without any internet. I am at the end of my patience with talktalk.
My day for switchover was last wednesday. But it did not work. I phoned talktalk and they said they would have to send an engineer to my house. The earliest was 2 weeks time.
I complained and they said they would fix it within 72 hours; or if not would update me on progress. 72 hours passed and no word. I phoned again and they said there would definitely be an update that day. There was no update. The following day I phoned again and they said they were working on it. Just give them 48 hours.
Do I have right to cancel given they have not delivered on the contract?

Be very careful.
I ordered fibre on the 9th Jan, with a go live date of 21st. It is still not working.
They repeatedly asked to to give them more time to fix the fault.
I am now over the 20day cooling off period and have now been told that if I want to cancel it will cost me £540.

Have you taken out a business contract? Or just a personal one that you will happen to use for your business? If the latter then stating that you need it for business will be irrelevant.
If you are still in a cooling off period, then invoke it and cancel. You shouldn't need a reason other than you have changed your mind.0 -
Hi there Simoneva,
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your order. Would you be able to drop us a tweet to @TalktalkCare so we can take a look at this for you and see what's causing the delay? Rodneps - we'd be happy to do the same for you too.
If you're not a twitter user please register and post on our community so we can help.
Thanks
