Any Orange or EE Representatives on here!

Any advice please, I have had a mobile phone contract with Orange for ten years. I do not make many phone calls and maybe a dozen or so texts, however my bill is always around £32 per month. I have an old style Mobile as I can not get to grips with these slidy phones. Can anyone help me find a value for money Mobile contract please. Would like to stay with Orange/EE .

put you minutes texts data requirement in here to start comparing or tell us how much of each you use0 -
Do not use E-mail or Web on my phone, very few calls if any, not a large amount of texting. Used to be £20 per month and I used it more.0

I would say you are paying far too much.
Have a look here for something that suits you.
(assuming you have had the phone for around 18-24 months so now own it)

Your contract price doe not vary according to the number of minutes you use or the number of texts you send, unless you go over your allowance! So if your contract price is £32, you will pay £32 even if you leave the phone off for the whole month.
You need to give proper figures-how many minutes a month, how many texts? Saying 'very few, not a large amount tells us nothing.
Assuming you don't need a new handset, then the obvious solution is a SIM-only contract which should be well under a tenner if your usage really is low.
Why are you ruling out a switch away from EE?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Sounds like you need a 'pay as you go'0

Example; Tesco Mobile SIM only contract, 250 mins, 5K texts. 500MB data, £7.50.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Cheers macman, think I will look into this one. Must contact Orange/EE and stop this contract it is over 2 years old now.0

Found the paperwork so will write and end the contract, think its 30 days notice. My bills used to be £25 a month then suddenly they have gone up to £32_£37 I think I am being charged for opening voicemails ?? I have had a lot recently.0

Yes, it's always 30 days notice. But don't cancel unless you don't mind losing your number. Request your PAC by phone (writing is not usually accepted as a means of giving notice) and use it with the new provider within 30 days. The incoming provider contacts Horange.
Looking at your needs again and assuming less than 100 mins per month (you haven't told us), a dozen texts and no data, I agree with the above comment that PAYG is probably your best option. Three 123 is the usual suggestion here, but needs a 3G handset. if you don't have one, I'd suggest White Mobile, which runs on EE-so you may not need to unlock your handset, and reception will be the same. Another MVNO running on EE is Asda Mobile.
Whatever you choose, it should anyway be less than 25% of what you are spending now.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
