Do you get a reminder from DVLA if you have duty renewed by DD?

So yesterday, having thought the DD had been cancelled due to some MOT expiry admin error, I decided to go online and pay it all in one go. Email arrives to confirm this
This morning, I get another email to say that my monthly DD has been renewed and 1st payment will come out on the 19th!
Is there anyway of speaking to the DVLA about this? Should I just cancel my DD?
Really frustrating!
Cancel DD but either phone or write to DVLA and tell them of your intentions.0 -
Spoke to DVLA and agreed that I would cancel my DD. No reason given as to why this happened.0
