Best time to apply to switch before minimum term ends

If I have a 12-month broadband & line rental contract, when should I apply for broadband & line rental from my next provider, in order to switch just before the 12 months are up and not go into a 13th month with potentially higher payments?

Well I think it takes 14 days to be transferred over.
So about a week before that I guess.0
