Sky; take over existing line or new line required?

Hi all
My house mate has Sky. He's moving at the end of February and is taking his Sky TV, phone line and broadband with him.
I'm looking to sign up for a Sky broadband connection myself once he's gone. When I go through the sign up options, the order system recognises that their is already a Sky line at my property and asks me if I'd like to take it over. Is this what I need to do (as opposed to having a new line installed) or will me taking over the line prevent my house mate from transferring it to his new property?
Many thanks
M

your mate is not taking the line with them they may be taking the number but not the line .
Do you want to take over the exsisting line = tick yes"Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
Hi,
look at it this way,
Sky'll not be aware of the house share, A moves out new occupier moves in, and signs up.
It wont affect your mate.
From Sky,
If I move home with Sky, will I need to take a new contract for my Sky products and services?
No, you won’t be entered into a new contract if you move with the same products and services you have at your current address and your existing terms and conditions will apply. If you choose to take any additional products or services you may have new a minimum term attached.0
