Hi,Of course there is a straight forward upgrade path from Vista to Win 7

There is no straight forward upgrade path from Vista to Win 10 (although, apparently it can be done)
those upgrades are dated 2009, so maybe a free upgrade then, but only available for a few months.
Same as is W7 to W10 is free for a year from launch.0 -

The upgrade from Vista to Win 7 has never been free and why should 7 years affect the "upgrade path" ?
It is only 7 to 10 that has ever been free !0
