Sky stopped me signing up

    Some chat boxes have preliminary questions before you are put through to an operator, so it's likely that you were never linked to a person.


    The chat service is nearly always busy, so it's easier to phone.


    The questions were to decide what department to connect you to and what offers they could make you, as they are different for new and existing customers.

    Why not sign up online and get any available cashback? No need to chat to anybody or phone them. You get the commission, not the agent.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Sorry, but I don't understand what you are saying, here.

    There was no phone and they imply certain discounts and deals are only available online (of course I know that is bulecrop mostly)
    There are several phone numbers, clearly given on the Sky website.

    They should have given phone number when busy and not even given me expectation of being able to chat
    It's easy enough to look up the numbers and surely 'no one available' is clear enough.
    Fact is they lost a sale

    I have been looking for a while and have to get a new contract by March

    If you are still in minimum term,there is no point in looking for deals before the end of it, as they are constantly changing

    They caught me at a weak moment as I have been holding off waiting for one of those £5 a year deals with free line rental.

    They are not lurking about, ready to catch people out during 'weak' moments and you are very unlikely to get the deal you seem to be looking for.

    There were special deals given to previous O2 and Be customers, in the hope of encouraging them to stay, but endless loss leaders would not be in their interest and these customers are not now being given such good deals. (I doubt that anyone got line and broadband for just £5 a year).
