2016 - a year of change

Today was quite a focused one at work. Managed to get through a fair bit so happy with that. Now they've got someone covering the admin stuff, I finally feel like I can do my job (and one of the things I realised I'd miss when I'd given notice in my last job, was the drafting so this is what I am enjoying!)
Spend wise - 1.65 on sandwich then 10.39/2 on vitamins and hand wash so not too bad.
Dinner tonight as per above, all from stores and hoping the boy remembers to prepare the butternut squash for lunch tomorrow so can be a NSD (other than I think we will need more milk but that's ok).
Survey now booked in for house we are buying - 6 march as the surveyor appointed by the bank is away until then. So all seems to be chugging along right now!I want to be a writer0 -
woo hoo - last working day of the week for me! Have my plan of what I want to get done so going to try to focus on that.
Boy has made salad for lunch so shouldn't need to go out/spend though we will need milk (and maybe a bit of chocolate!) on the way home.
Dinner is a freezer meal plus veg.I want to be a writer0 -
just found 2 bars of milka didn't know we had! so no need for chocolate, hoping thus minimum spend on milk!! Sad how excited that made me.
Do feel a bit annoyed. Because boy's flat not sold and is rented instead (showing no signs of selling despite still being on market), I'm putting everything from this sale in even though taking hit on price/early repayment fee. I am still then putting in another 24k cash. Boy is putting in 60k cash. I'm scrimping and saving and avoiding spending on self but they boy is still ordering things for himself from amazon. I just think he should be saving a bit more so I have to put less cash in given I'm putting bulk in. I know that it will balance out eventually and when he sells his flat he'll either pay a whack off mortgage, use it for extension or use it to pay me so we are even on the buy in. And I guess if it was other way round he would have put bulk in and waited for me to catch up. But I think I just get a bit scared that it's more my stuff on the line at the moment.
I know he feels bad and is determined to even things out and I do trust him on that as he has a strong moral compass.I want to be a writer0 -
worked so bl**dy hard today that the day just flew - even worked through most of my lunch hour! Have put 2 packs of precedents on boss's chair - had wanted to get a third done but as I was halfway through the second lot this morning, I realised that the law had changed slightly so had to go back and amend the first lot and add stuff in to second lot so didn't have time! Never mind, will do those mon/tue next week and then one more thing to do on that and that's another topic ticked off!
Lunch was from stores but partners also had a meeting so was a bit of lunch leftover from that so nabbed a small sandwich and have saved half my lunch for tomorrow on day off (as never anything in the house on a friday for my lunch!)
Spending = not too bad - 3.07/2 as bought some potato waffles to go with tonights tea (the big ones and there's 10 so should do a couple of meals as accompaniment) and some milk.
Was really craving red wine again. Think it's because it's been a long week in terms of I've been more focused this week and got stuff done so felt like the lovely taste of some red but I made a tea and had a bath and now that feeling has subsided!
Am actually starting to enjoy work again now - now that they've sorted ut someone to do the admin stuff and I can just crack on with the precedents I feel like I'm adding value and actually using my brain!
Tomorrow I am going to try to go for a run first thing (though knowing my track record am not holding out much hope!) and then seeing a friend and her little one in the afternoon - that should be no or cheap spend as we will either stay at hers or go for a walk and maybe a coffee.I want to be a writer0 -
