I received a message from the buyer today saying he had paid - he hadn't - so could I dispatch the item:rotfl:. I said I hadn't received any payment so he then said he wanted to pay in person (from 100+ miles away), could he have my number to talk to me? I filed a non paying bidder hoping to close the case quickly and offer it to the next bidder. He then paid in full :( .
Don't know what to think now

Just make sure you have some kind of tracking so it can not vanish in the post. I personally would block him also so I do not have to deal with him again.

Yes - definately will use tracking. I doubt he will buy from me again but yes to blocking him too.
    No - it's a keyboard

I have just noticed the payment is 'pending' in PayPal and won't clear until 19th Feb. PayPal says it's OK to send. Is it usual to put payments as pending when you have put in a non paying bidder report prior to payment?

    Personally I wouldn't send it.
Why would they say it's ok to send if it's showing pending?!
Is this what happens with echeques?

I was hoping he wouldn't pay then I could sell it to someone straight forward. I assume that PayPal are holding on to the money but don't know why.
If I cancel the transaction I think I would get a defect and still have to pay the fees :(

If you phone the generic eBay you will wait ages for a reply. Always best to go through the help pages and get a PIN number.

I always get a free phone number when I go through the help system, phone is answered immediately as well (unless they are having some sort of meltdown)
