  • I can't help with the venue check in as I never go to the gym but I have a few tips that help with point gaining.

Myself and the Girlfriend both have the bounts app and both use Garmin GPS watches for running/cycling and step counting(hers does both and I have one for each)

When you upload your garmin you can link it to Strava so it automatically uploads to both. If you both have that but then link the blunts app to opposite accounts for each you both get the points for each activity.

I have my GF's garmin for steps linked as she walks more and I'm a premium plus member and she has my garmin account for my steps. I then link my strava account to me as I can cycle to and from work 20 mins each and then run for a 3rd activity and the GF links her strava to her own for when she runs.

When she runs its easy that she gets 21k steps for the day and if I cycled plus my own run thats 120 points for the day. 10 days like that and you get a £5 voucher! Plus she gets points too at a slower rate but still it all helps.

We have found though you don't sync the app till the end of the night to be sure to get the right number of steps as once it logs an amount it tends not to update to the final higher number.

I'm really struggling to get the venue check in to work too. I've done everything it says but it still doesn't do it. My gym shows on the map for premium members - and I am premium at the moment after connecting my first app.

Are other people managing venue check-ins ok? Any advice?
Mine is also on the map for premium members but I've only had a successful check in once. :(

I have installed the app twice now And it doesn't record accurately my activity.
I used the Health apple app as I couldn't afford one of the fitness gadgets .
For instance I go to the gym twice a day as I am training for a competition . It doesn't record/log me in - it is a Puregym
I emailed them but no reply whatsoever ...
Shame because I am very acttive and it would have neen good to make use of that ...:o

Bring up the map and invite your gym to register.

Oh and yeah, it kills your phone battery if you leave on Bluetooth (Fitbit users) For the first time ever my phone actually died overnight lol

So switch off Bluetooth and actively kill the apps until you need to use them.
  • I have an Apple Watch so dont really want to buy another gadget. It takes my steps from the Health App from my phone, but doesnt have anything for the workout app on the watch. That sucks! :-(

Loads of apps you can download for free to cover workouts
  • Have upgraded to premium +.

Was very tempted to take up the three year offer which makes it around a tenner a year but will see how it goes for this first year and if all goes well, I will definitely sign up for three years when it needs renewing.

Nice to see the points racking up a little quicker. :D

I'm still on my free trial and am wondering whether it worth my while to upgrade:

During the working week, I normally achieve around 15,000 steps and approx 8,000 at the weekend.

I do not attend any gym. My steps are just from normal day to day walking around as I work in a school.

I use a Fitbit for recording my steps.

    What would you all do?

I was just calculating whether it'll be worth upgrading at the end of the trial too. I easily achieve 50pts per day with my current activity (on Premium trial) purely from walking my dog twice daily. I do approx 15,000 steps so 20pts from Fitbit, plus another 20pts from MMF(dog walk) for two exercise periods then another 10pts from iPhones health monitor.

But 50pts per day =18,250 per annum. What does this equate in money? Maybe £20-£30 in vouchers? I don't know, having not yet redeemed any. I'm sure gym visits plus referrals will bump up the potential to earn more.

For me personally, I think I may well pay the tenner for premium but I don't think I'd benefit from the next level up
  • Isnt it just typical........the day after me upgrading I come down with a full blown cold.

    558 steps :(
