  • Thank you both, this has certainly put me off moving ever again!

Apparently we should be exchanging tomorrow then completing next Friday.

In mse news breakdown cover renewal came through, one quick phone call from hubby and it is reduced by £70. It's sooooo naughty that they do that.

Just when I need to not spend much there's a letter from school about a school trip for DD2, £90 needed. Trouble is I've packed my cheque book. At least it will be the last school trip ever.

We are busy packing the last few bits now while we wait for completion.
A quick shop last night to get some food to last us until Friday. Hubby suggested ready meals so we can pack most of the kitchen. We did manage to get some things that will do, but I just kept looking at them thinking how expensive they were for what was in them and certainly not as nice as what we normally eat! We ended up just getting one ready meal and the rest was stuff that could be put in the oven and didn't need prep or saucepans, convenience food more than ready meals.

Lots of washing done yesterday and nearly completed March accounts. Made a big pot of tomato soup for lunches next week as we still had a huge pile of frozen cherry tomatoes lurking in the freezer. At least the moving date changing has meant there is now no dog food to move from the freezer, in fact we had to go and buy a couple bags of chunks from PAH yesterday as not worth getting another delivery until we have moved even though it works out more expensive.

A trip to the new field was also squeezed in yesterday, we took some feed up that won't be needed until after the move and replaced all the screws on the fittings of the tack room door with bolts so they can't be undone from outside to take the door off. It is much quieter there than where we are now and less likely to be targeted by thieves, but having been broken into a few times before I'm quite cautious and wanted a bit more security before moving saddles and rugs up there, talking of rugs I also took all the winter rugs (5) to be washed and repaired, so they are in the shop whilst we move to save moving them.

On the way back we swung past the new house as it is empty to check everything was all ok.

More packing, washing and accounts today, with a cheeky Chinese tonight when DD & DGS come over.

I didn't do too bad yesterday, completed the quarter's accounts and submitted vat return. Im so pleased I don't need to think about that now.

Packed up most of the kitchen and kept the washing machine going.

Just 3 more days of work left.
