With regards to what I also left out. I said in the OP that it was last year, you'll have to forgive me and yourself for getting mixed up on my terminology and definition of last year.
You said financed last year, no mention of taking delivery and driving it for 12 months.

If £450 is unaffordable doesn't that ring alarm bells that a brand new car isn't afford able either?
