Does anybody know what the waiting time is for an ESA assessment, as of Jan 2016? 13th week is tomorrow for me!

It depends on the area you live in and how far behind they are.0

Thanks, I will have to ask when I'm at CAB on Thursday, for another issue!0

It's unfair for you as you will need to provide fit notes until the medical and making appointments with GP. I believe they should provide it by 13th week.0

In an ideal world that would happen. However, there have been problems with staffing levels at assessment centres from the start of ESA and that isn't likely to be fixed any time soon. It's not simply about costs, in some areas there just aren't enough people with the required skills who want to do the job.0 -

I waited 10 months for my last one and got just over £1800 in back pay, just had letter come thru for re-assessment.Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0

I'm on week 14 now. I have just come home to a letter from Oxford city council about my housing benefit. They have been informed that my ESA has been moved from income related and contributions related to just income related. I phoned the medical assessments people and asked them about assessments waiting times. They looked into my file, and said they had received my medical questionnaire and additional medical evidence from my doctor on 12 November and my file was referred back to DWP. They said that they would not need to look at it again into DWP asked them to.0
