Let's hope I can live up to my claims! Normally when I make plans something happens...
I haven't made them before, will let you know how they turn out!
Falafels - http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2589/spicy-falafels
hummus - http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/quickhummousandolive_71473
Fingers crossed as I love them both and very cheap and cheerful xxStarting debt £18,675.63

If you google 'a girl called Jack' and falafel (I couldn't find a direct link) you get a very useful recipe for them that I've done a few times for DS1s veggie friends. They always ask for them when they come round so must be doing something right.
Edit. I found it https://cookingonabootstrap.com/2013/03/06/carrot-coriander-falafels-23p/
I've used other root veg in place of the carrots sometimes and that works - also I add finely chopped red chili if they're for me as I love the hot bite.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

This looks really good. I might replace part of the carrot with orange bell pepper when I try it because I have one right now. Also I have red chile flakes that I'll put in. Yum! I do like the idea of using an egg (BBC recipe) instead of water like in Jack's.
Reality I have all the ingredients to make hummus too. Wonderful dinner idea.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

I've done it with and without and honestly couldn't say there was much difference - maybe a little less crumbly with the egg. I would caution you not to use all the egg or to be prepared to put in another spoonful of flour if it looks a bit soggy.
I think the point about Jack leaving it out was to keep it as cheap as possible but also to make it vegan with no egg. I find the carrots make it very moist and if you seriously squidge them together they shouldn't fall apart.
They freeze really well uncooked - open freeze on greaseproof paper until solid and then put them in a bag or box, and then you can cook them from frozen too.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I used the the bbc recipe and they were great! I followed the recipe but added in some dried chili flakes - def be making them again. Had a look at the ones Joey mentioned so will try them next.
Ended up going home from work and falling asleep after dinner so slept from about half 5-10...then instead of waking up and going to bed I started tidying up/looking through my phone and was then wide awake and stayed up until after 2!! SO tired today!! I am hoping coffee will kick in soon.
Tonight I am going to a charity event, my friends husband has a table so that is paid from his company. A meal and wine is included and I did consider driving, but my friend is pregnant that I'm going with and she lives round the corner so I probably won't and end up drinking her share of the wine....I won't lol I shouldn't plan to do things like that, I would be the first to moan at my daughter for saying something like that...but do as I say, not as I do!
It is a high end auction so I doubt I will be spending anything as I def can't afford the prices!! Maybe I shouldn't drink after all as before you know it I will be biding on something ridiculous and probably win!!!
I also forgot to put some fake tan on last night so had to this morning and the smell is horrific and as time goes on I can smell it getting stronger!:rotfl:Starting debt £18,675.63

Do not drink on a school night...my head is banging and any sudden movements I feel like I could throw up!!
Last night was really good, I spent £20 on a raffle ticket, but I won 4 VIP tickets to go and see Barry Manilow tonight at Liverpool Echo so I am off with my mum, dad and my mums friend. I am not really a fan, but I'm going and my mum loves him. Also spend £10 for a tip for the lovely waiter who waited on us hand and foot and never left my glass empty...so he is joint to blame with my hangover.
I never spent a penny on any drinks or getting home. The table I was with their company was paying the bar bill and my friend took me there and back. It also turns out my friend and her husband were trying to set me up with his boss in work!!! He is filthy rich, but just not my type...I'm not that desperate with my finances...yet!!
Happy Friday everyone xxxStarting debt £18,675.63
