TunnelBear is very simple to use on Windows and Android. Available for Mac / IoS too and presumably easy to use on those too.

I'd suggest you try a free one (500MB or 1GB per month for a tweet) and if it suits try paid. It offers quite a few end locations.

    I can personally recommend NordVPN

Using it for last 18 months and cannot fault it.

Usual price is $4/month but offers almost always available.Latest is $39 for 24 months which is approx. £27.50 ( £1.15/Month). Offer here.

Never purchased anything through Stacksocial so hopefully other forum members will be able to advise.

'ZenMate' downloaded as an add-on for Firefox or Chrome....Streams films with no problem and choice of countries.
It's free, with the opportunity to opt into the paid version, but, I've never found the free lacking, so, have never bothered...

I use PIA, it's the only way I can watch Youtube these days without buffering issues and if I set it to Sweden I get full bandwidth downloads......

I have so called "unlimited broadband", but the fact that it's faster to download data hosted in the UK via another country, suggests that "unlimited" needs to be taken with a large cup of salt.

As long as the OP ( shoud he elect to use free version ) is aware he is only covered within the browser..Depends where he streams from.:D
  • What difference does it make as to the speed in the host country? Surely the data then has to travel from there to the UK eventually.

I use PIA also. No problems here. Runs on the router so no messing about with different devices.
