Outstaning Penalty Charge - Private Parking Penalty

Please advise....


I parked at Premier Parking at Didcot Station on 17.12.15, and I got penalty ticket as my ticket was not shown properly. I submit my parking ticket and my receipt of train ticket, however, Premier Parking Solution kept sending me the same letter which demands the penalty.


I kept asking them to provide their photo evidence since 20.12.15, and I finally received the letter with their photo evidence dated 19.01.16 by post, which I received on 23.01.16.


Now they demand £100, not £60 as I did not pay before 15.01.16. They send me letter without their proof saying that they wait for my payment until 15.01.16. I sent e-mail on 13.01.16 to request their photo proof as soon as possible so that I can pay on time. BUT no reply.


I am happy to pay £60 as it clearly show that my ticket was face down although I have proof of purchase the valid ticket, BUT not £100 as my payment is delayed because they provided their evidence on 19.01.16 which is AFTER the due.


Please advise what to do.

Forget paying. APPEAL. For the love of God, please read the sticky thread first.

You cannot secure the £60 and appeal, FORGET PAYING AS AN OPTION. APPEAL (NOT SAYING WHO WAS DRIVING) AND WIN.

This is MSE! We know what we are doing here. Surely the letter offers you a POPLA code? You have 28 days from the date of the rejection letter so plenty of time to come up with a decent POPLA appeal based on our tried & tested examples.

Why pay anything when, with a bit of effort, you need not pay a penny. These people are scammers, you owe them nothing, you have paid for your parking, contest it and cost them money.

I am so sorry about my ignorance about POPLA. I found it today, but I was wondering if it is too late for me to appeal through POPLA.


I will appeal through POPLA and report you the result.

No, PLEASE PLEASE don't just shove in a POPLA appeal. You will lose if you write what you told us above.

I already mentioned that you have 28 days but come on, the rejection letter tells you that already so you don't need to be told that deadline.

Come back with your draft POPLA appeal, cobbled together based on the examples you read. THIS IS NOT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED.

Have you already given away who was driving in your first appeal? I hope not.

Thank you for your quick response !!!! I haven't done anything with POPLA yet.


Unfortunately, PPS (Premier parking Solutions) knows the name of driver as I received a letter sent by e-mal which demands/force to give the name of driver.


The first letter which I received with POPLA no is 22.12.15. (I should have checked POPLA immediately.)


The second letter is dated 08.01.16 saying that the due is extended until 15.01.16, but the payment should reach them by 19.01.16.


On the letter of 08.01.16, they clearly mentioned that they have photo evidence which I kept asking them to provide it since 22.12.15. However, I did not receive it until 23.01.16.


I cannot help feeling that they did not provide their photo evidence until 19.01.16 on purpose.....

they cannot FORCE you to do anything !!!!!!!!


the reason they wanted the name/sddress of the driver is because they cocked up!




if you check up carefully , you will probably find that the land you parked on , comes under railway bylaws and is land that POFa does not apply to.


by giving the name/address they can shove POFa out of the window and run free.




go and LOOK at the signage and/or any correspondence from them , look for words saying "bylaws 14" etc

I have to say that it was a shock for me to receive the penalty charge and receiving the same letters from them, so I did not read the letter properly. (Eventually, I got different version on 08.01.16 without their evidence. Now I received their evidence dated 19.01.16 which I received 24.01.16)


I will check all again.
