As the above asks - what is the correct way to terminate my contract with EE ?

My contract is due to expire on March 8 and I definitely will not be renewing my contract with them !! I assume my DD on Feb 17 will be the last I need to pay??!!

I understand that when the contract expires, it does not cancel but just becomes a rolling 30 day contract - as I do not wish to give them another penny for their appalling service I wish to maximise everything I get from them !!

Does asking for a PAC code cancel it or do I need to put it in writing ? If so, how ? Email, snail mail etc etc

I have read a few horror stories about mobile contracts finishing and don't want to go down that road !!

Any advice / help / tips would be really useful.

Thanks for you help.

Richard

Your minimum term expires, not contract.
The best way to terminate it is to get the PAC 30 days before the min term ends and port the number out few days before the last day.

If you get PAC you must use it, otherwise the contract goes on.

    Thanks grumbler.

Am I right in saying the PAC lasts 30 days ??

That sounds like a far easier way.

Am I also right in assuming that once you port the number out that cancels your contract OR would I still need to give them 30 days notice even though I have asked for the PAC code ??

Apologies, I have only ever upgraded or been bought out of a contract before.

I just want to make sure that I 'dot the Is and cross the Ts'

You are right on both counts.
A notice isn't needed when getting and using PAC as PAC and active notice can't coexist.
