-= Nokia E71 firmware update help needed =-

Hi

bought old E71 nokia with old firmware.

Tried updating firmwere with:

1. NOkia SUite - keeps giving error of unable to connect to net (net works well)

2. Nokia Software Updater - no longer updateds (softewere discontinued)

3. NaviFIrm+ - have to donate to get pass code

4. Phonix keeps giving error of "Install a Nokia dongle and try to start application again".

Any tips of to get this done well please without spending a penny?

Nokia service centre, Microsoft will have pulled all the updates and OS's off the servers as it is well out of warranty. However of course any Nokia Windows Phone device updates and OS are still available. A independent phone shop may have a copy though, small chance given the age of the handset.

Find a shop that still has something that will flash Nokia and has acces to the flash files, iirc the JAF box or Fenix were the main Nokia flashing boxes..
