Ongoing late payments

I had a virgin mobile 24 month contract first day I had it I couldn't get signal in my area, so I called virgin and told them I didn't want the phone as I could not use it and I was told they couldn't take it back as I had started to use it. I cancled the dd four years ago and thought nothing else of it, now I have just checked my credit file and virgin has marked me down as 1,2,3,4,5,6 payment late for the first six months and every month since I have a 6 payment late. Is this something that can do surely it can only be 6 payments late only one time and it should of been a default marker after the fist 6 payment late. Every month my credit file is saying that I have missed a payment, I took the contract out in 2011 and have had a 6 payment late marker every month and itis still continuing. Can someone confirm if virgin can do this and any help would be appreciated. Thankyou.

Why cancel the direct debit as it's made the situation worse.0

I was told that I had to keep the phone because I had started to use it and could not return it, I had to walk all up the road before I had a signal so the phone was no use to me, I was unwilling to pay for a contract for 24 months that was no use to me and virgin would not do anything to help.0

No mobile provider guarantees 100% coverage. Didn't you think to check for coverage in your area before taking the contract out?"Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0

Why don't you contact Virgin and ask them why they didn't default you?I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. This situation come around because of the lack of help from virgin the first time around, I don't really want to have to go through it all again with them. I just want to know if the can mark me as 6 payments late every month.0
