Keep contract but change phone?

Hi everyone.

After paying off the original 24 month contract for my iPhone 4s, I've been on a great 12 month contract with unlimited data & texts for just £15 a month. This is about to end and turn into a one month rolling.

I'm thinking about getting a more recent iPhone model as mine has become a bit clunky of late. I *think* it's more economical to buy a phone upfront, especially if I can keep the £15 unlimited internet deal. But how can I keep the £15 rolling contract but change my phone model? Would Three allow this as I'll be going from a microsim to a nanosim so will need a new one!

Any advice much appreciated!

Thanks

I presume you plan to purchase the new phone from someone other than 3 and simply want them to issue you with a new nano sim and switch your existing number across.

This shouldn't be a problem and is probably best sorted by phoning them. Your number will be ported from your existing sim to the new sim at a pre-arranged date and time.

A friend of mine did this on EE without any problems.

I'm an android user so don't know how you would go about importing your contact details etc from one iphone to another but I'm sure someone else here will be able to advise

    Hello,

You'd be able to request a Nano SIM from Three (free of charge, I believe) to keep your existing SIMO Tariff.

Three won't care that you're going from an iPhone 4S to a newer model.

In terms of syncing your data across you can either backup using iTunes or iCloud.

That's good to hear! Thank you for your help.

And to confirm - buying a phone upfront is probably the cheapest way of doing it?

Can be, depends on the deal on offer, including risk of cashback deals.

Argos do interest free credit over 12 months on selected £200+ mobiles and ALL iphones.
